Watergate Accomplice Confesses to Eavesdropping on Democrats

Watergate surveillance man Alfred Baldwin (see May 29, 1972) confesses to his role in the electronic eavesdropping on Democrats in the Watergate office complex. Baldwin tells FBI agents that he worked directly for burglar James McCord, and also had contact with two other burglars, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy. Baldwin’s statement is the first direct link for Fors between the burglary and Hunt and Liddy. [O.T. Jacobson, 7/5/1974  ]
