At a restaurant Don Nixon asked Meier if Larry O’Brien (now chair of the Democratic National Committee) had an office in the Watergate complex. (He did.) Meier told Don that Paul Schrade was going to help Meier run as a Democrat in New Mexico for the Senate, and Meier was going to tell him everything they wanted to know about Hughes and Richard Nixon.
