Gay Rights Freak out Nixon

Nixon is disgusted to shake the hand of a gay recipient of honorariums. The president endured a receiving line at a White House dinner honoring voluntarism; “Typical of the group,” he complained to Haldeman, “was a fellow who came through the line from California who said he was a Quaker. He was an obvious, roaring fag.” The aggressors worked, for instance, by defiling religion. Nixon wanted then to infiltrate the Quakers and take it back. He was Quaker.
